European Industrials Hold the Line as Asian Growth Names Outperform
A wave of H1 and Q1 reports showed European industrial and consumer names managing margins under pressure while several Asian companies posted standout growth.
European Industrials Defend Margins
Sulzer confirmed its guidance despite mixed first-half results, while SIG's second-quarter margin topped estimates as pricing offset raw material costs. Inchcape's first-half 2026 revenue rose 9%, though margins were dragged down by its APAC business, and Croda International's first-half results met expectations.
Tech and Consumer Names Diverge
TeamViewer rose to a near two-month high after its outlook offset weak second-quarter trends, and Lottomatica posted strong second-quarter 2026 growth even as its stock stayed flat. By contrast, Albert reported a second-quarter revenue decline amid ongoing business restructuring.
Strong Growth From Asian Reporters
CCL Products and Happiest Minds both posted strong first-quarter 2026 growth, with shares edging up in each case. SAIL's first-quarter results for fiscal 2027 showed margins surging to 16.7% despite a dip in volumes, beating EPS forecasts on the back of improved margins.
